We enjoyed yummy hot chocolates and treats and listened to the story of ‘The Polar Express’.

The boys in First Class were invited to the lighting of the Christmas trees at the Navan Road Church. We sang some carols and listened to performances by the choirs from the Senior Boys’ School and the Girls’ School.

The Garda Band visited our school to bring some festive cheer. We all joined in singing lots of Christmas songs including ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’. It was great fun!

We had great fun playing ‘Elastics’ in PE.

We painted fantastic space pictures. Ms. Galvin thinks they are ‘out of this world’!

We made beautiful colourful trees using fabric and lollipop sticks.

We paid a visit to Cabra Library to take part in the drama workshop ‘Sprouting Scenes’. The boys really enjoyed the workshop and came up with lots of creative and original ideas.

We had great fun on our Hallowe’en Witch Walk.

We took part in lots of activities for Maths Week. We played some Maths addition and subtraction games using dice in pairs. We played bingo and number sense bingo where the numbers were represented in lots of different ways. We estimated and counted the number of smarties in a box and made a graph to represent our findings. We competed a ‘Me in Numbers’ fact file. We made Hallowe’en shape pictures. We used our Maths eyes to look for Maths in our environment. Most importantly we had lots of fun!
