Friday Club

We had a fantastic start to our Friday Club with sixth class boys. There was lots of fun and healthy competition playing Uno. Sixth class boys were a tremendous help teaching us the tricks of the game. We can’t wait to play again next week.

Penguin Art

We are learning about Antarctica, about its climate and the animals living there. We learned all about penguins and produced stunning penguin paintings.

Time for Maths!

Our first Maths topic of the New Year is all about telling the time. The boys loved our ‘Hip, hop, around the clock’ song!

Christmas Crafts

We made beautiful Christmas decorations and cards for our families.

Preparing for the Carol Service

We put so much hard work into preparing for our annual Carol Service. It was a pleasure to perform for everyone. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Garda Band Christmas Visit

We really enjoyed seeing the Garda Band and singing along to some Christmas songs!

The Nativity

Fantastic work today to create a beautiful Christmas picture.

An Unexpected Visitor

We had an unexpected visitor today in Prefab 9. Santa heard about all the great work we have been doing so he popped in to check it out. We sang him a song and told him how good we’ve been.

Our Christmas Tree

We put up our Christmas Tree today!

Seasonal Science

The boys in Prefab 9 were conducting investigations today. First, we wanted to find out if fat could really keep animals warm in winter. We made predictions before we began. Then we checked our ice water to see if it was cold!

After that, we covered our fingers in a layer of fat to protect us from the cold.

Finally, we checked how cold the water felt when the fat was covering our fingers!

Our second experiment was designed to investigate how crystals are formed. We again began by making predictions. Then we poured warm water and salt into containers. Next, we stirred the water to dissolve the salt.

Now, we have to wait to see if our predictions are correct!
