A Tasty Surprise

The boys were very excited to decorate their very own gingerbread men. They were even more excited to eat the tasty treats!

A Special Visitor

We had a special visitor to the school this week which caused great excitement. Santa was delighted to see everyone in their Christmas jumpers and gave us the best news ever. Everyone in Prefab 8 is on theNice List!

Christmas Fun in Prefab 8

Christmas activities are in full swing here in Prefab 8 and the boys are loving all of the festive fun. Here is a sample of the great work they have been doing in December.

Artists of The Week

Well done to all our Artists of the Week this month.

Ben created some seriously spooky witch legs, using strips of card.

Look at Oisín’s Garda!

Johnney did an amazing job creating a scary scarecrow with oil pastels.

Devin painted a very autumnal scene, portraying the leaves changing colour for Autumn.

Halloween Treats

Mixing Colours

We learned that the primary colours are red, yellow and blue. When we mixed the primary colours together, we made secondary colours.

Halloween Activities

Each morning in Prefab 8 we have been enjoying lots of different Halloween themed activities. We have been making spooky skeletons with straws, counting ghosts and ghouls, making crazy pumpkins and crafting some cool witches from 2d shapes. Prefab 8 is seriously spooky!

Music with Bergie

We love Monday music lessons with Bergie. We have been learning about the composer Saint-Saens who composed Carnival of The Animals. Each piece of music is named after a different animal and we listened carefully and tried to figure out which animal we could hear in the music. Bergie then let us freestyle with the percussion instruments.

A Special Visitor

Garda Ciara visited our classroom to talk to us about staying safe at Halloween.

Well done to our Artists of the Week in September!

Tom used oil pastels to recreate Kandinky’s Concentric Circles.

Hugo created a fabulous self portrait of himself!

Mícheál painted pop art hands, inspired by Andy Warhol’s PopArt style of print.
