We had a very special birthday in Prefab 12 this week – it was none other than Mr Temple! We celebrated Mr Temple’s birthday by singing some of his favourite songs, dancing, playing party games and of course, some treats and cake! Thank you to our SNAs Lynne and Caroline for organising this lovely day for Mr Temple and the boys!
A Special Show at the Library
We went to the library for a special show with Niamh and George. The show was provided by Púca Puppets (funded through Creative Ireland). It was a calm, serene performance celebrating our world of nature, growth and environment. A special thank you to @CabraLibrary for the invite to this incredibly inclusive and interactive show.
Trip to the Bogies
The nice, warm weather brings us new and exciting class trips and outings. We’ve been so busy the past 2 weeks with work, meetings and reviews. The boys have been very cooperative and understanding so they deserved to go somewhere nice and different. We walked to the Bogies, played football, tag and had a picnic. We spent some time in the playground before walking back to the school.
Note: there is a link to a video. The school website does not support video files, but if you click the link, you should be able to download it and access it through there. IMG_1999
We Love Our Skin❣️
We’ve been learning about how people are different and unique. We talked about hair colour and style, eye colour, height, and of course, skin colour! We learned that skin covers our bodies and comes in a variety of shades and skin tones, but we’re all the same on the inside – we all have a brain, a heart and lungs.
We did different activities to build our knowledge and acceptance of differences, including making a skin coloured rainbow using our NEW skin tone pencils, and drawing self-portraits.
